A case report on pterygium treated with homoeopathic medicine

Abstract:
Pterygium, also known as surfer's eye, is a growth of fleshy tissue on the conjunctiva, the clear tissue that covers the white of your eye. It typically starts on the cornea near the nose and can grow slowly over time. This condition can cause irritation, redness, and visual impairment if left untreated. (1) Patient attended out-patient department (OPD) chiefly for complaints of redness in his right eye which starts from medical side and reach up to cornea, with complain of severe pain, irritation. After unsatisfactory outcome with modern medicine for one year, patient turned to homoeopathic treatment. After detailed case-taking and repertorization, Natrum Mur 200 CH was given along with Placebo, and gradually, the medicine was repeated as per the response upon the patient. Within 1 months of homoeopathic treatment, the patient started improving and continues to be free from his complains at the time of last visit in OPD (Fig.1).
