A case report on ophiasis areata treated with homoeopathy

Abstract:
Alopecia is excessive fall of hair or loss of hair in bunches from a particular area of head or beard. Hair loss is the commonest problem affecting every other person around us. It’s typical to lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day, according to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). With about 100,000 hairs on your head, that small loss isn’t noticeable. New hair normally replaces the lost hair, but this doesn’t always happen. Though It’s more prevalent in older ages but anyone can experienced it even children. People talks about it but they do not know how to tackle with it.
This is a Case report of 12 yrs old girl presented with patch loss of hair on the parietal region of scalp. The size of patch is increasing with time. According to clinical manifestation and pattern of hair loss, it was diagnosed as a case of Ophiasis areata. In the beginning Patient noticed hair fall while combing since 5-6 months. Loss of hair started from a small spot and then it is increasing in size. Prescription was done on the basis of case taking totality of symptoms and repertorisation through Kent repertory total addition method.
