Background: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) is an infection of the pelvic organs. Generally, it is more common in females than in comparison to male. It most often occurs when sexually transmitted bacteria spread from your vagina to your uterus, fallopian tubes or ovaries. It is an infection of one or more of the upper reproductive organs, including the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries. Untreated case can cause scar tissue and pockets of infected fluid (abscesses) to develop in the reproductive tract, which can cause permanent damage.
Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder. Chronic cystitis is a long-lasting inflammation of the bladder. The cause of cystitis is typically a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) when bacteria enter the bladder or urethra and multiply.
Case summary: A 34-year-old female with a 2-year history of recurrent lower abdominal pain on and off along with leucorrhoea, dysuria, and urinary frequency was treated with individualized homeopathic remedies. Sepia 200C was prescribed based on constitutional and miasmatic evaluation, while Cantharis Q was administered to address acute urinary symptoms. After four months of treatment, the patient reported complete symptomatic relief, improved menstrual regularity, and no relapse of urinary tract symptoms during follow-up.
