Exploring homeopathic interventions for polycystic ovarian disease: A comprehensive review

Abstract:
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a disorder which mainly arises due to the hormonal imbalances. Commonly found in women during their reproductive ages, characterized by hirsutism, irregular periods, ovarian cysts and acne, etc. The cause is unclear, but hormonal imbalances along with other factors play major role in disease manifestation. Diagnosis made through physical examination, blood tests, ultrasounds and medical history. PCOS can be managed through dietary modification, lifestyle changes, weight loss therapy, exercise and medical management. Homeopathy uses various remedies to treat PCOS, common remedies include Sepia for pelvic pain, Pulsatilla for irregular periods, Lycopodium addresses bloating, Calcarea Carbonica for anxiety, Arsenicum Album for fatigue, Thuja targets scanty periods, Calcarea Carb used for skin symptoms of PCOS. This article explores role of homeopathic interventions in polycystic ovarian disease.
