Abstract:
Chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) represents a difficult clinical scenario characterized by persistent otitis media and tympanic membrane perforation. Conventional treatment usually includes antibiotics, ear hygiene and surgery if required. However, interest in complementary and alternative medicine approaches, particularly homeopathy, has increased due to the desire for holistic treatment strategies. Homeopathy is based on the principle of using highly diluted substances to activate the body's self-healing mechanisms. Research on the effectiveness of homeopathy in the treatment of CSOM has produced mixed results. Several studies have investigated the effects of homeopathic treatments on CSOM symptoms and recurrence rates. This study investigated various homeopathic interventions for CSOM and showed positive results in terms of symptom relief and reduction in the frequency of discharges [1-2].
