Abstract:
Sleep quality is a crucial aspect of overall health and well-being, particularly among young adults in the age group of 18-25. This age range often faces unique challenges that can impact their sleep patterns and quality. The unique lifestyle and academic pressures faced by young adults in this age group often intersect with their sleep patterns, potentially impacting their overall health and cognitive functions. By gaining insights into the sleep patterns of young adults, we can develop targeted interventions to help them improve their sleep habits, enhance their academic performance, and promote better overall health and wellness during this critical stage of life. Thus this study was aimed to explore the impact of sleep disorder on daily function, analyse the influence of lifestyle factors on sleep pattern / quality & to assess the influence of living environment on sleep quality among students aged 18-25 using Modified sleep quality questionnaire. At end of study it was noted that only few participants sleep quality were impacted by the sleep disorders, majority of participants had screen time before bed time and sleep quality was found sometimes influenced, also majority of participants sleep quality was rarely influenced by exercise or diet & it was also noted that noise, light and temperature influences sleep quality.
