Abstract:
A wrist ganglion, also known as ganglion cyst, is a common benign lump that often appears on the back of the wrist. It arises from the synovial sheath of a joint or tendon and is filled with a jelly-like fluid. Other system of medicines mainly focuses on surgical excision, aspiration, steroid administration, sclerotherapy etc but recurrence rate is high.
A case of 28-year-old male suffering from wrist ganglion since 1 year, has been presented here. After a thorough clinical evaluation a single individualized homoeopathic medicine was prescribed followed by placebo for period of 5 months. This case report demonstrates improvement of cystic swelling (without recurrence) as well as other presenting complaints of the patient with individualised homoeopathic treatment.
