Abstract:
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a global health crisis, with increasing prevalence in both developed and developing countries. Conventional treatments, including insulin and oral anti-diabetic drugs (OADs), often focus on controlling blood glucose levels but may lead to complications, including neuropathy and cardiovascular diseases. This paper explores a comparative analysis of conventional treatments and homeopathic approaches, focusing on their effectiveness in managing complications associated with T2DM. By analysing observational studies, including homeopathic remedies such as Syzygium jambolanum and Cephalandra indica, the study highlights how homeopathy may offer promising benefits in glycemic control and managing neuropathy symptoms. This paper concludes that while conventional therapies are effective in controlling blood glucose, homeopathic treatments provide additional holistic benefits, improving patient quality of life and managing long-term complications.
