Abstract:
Acute febrile illness is defined as rapid onset of fever and symptoms such as headache, chills or muscle and joint pain. Febrile illness is related to the fever it can used in the medical sense when someone is sick and running a temperature. Fever implies an elevated core body temperature of more than 38.0 degree C. Body temperature is controlled by the hypothalamus. Neurons in both the preoptic anterior hypothalamus and the posterior hypothalamus receive two kinds of signals: One from peripheral nerves that transmit information from warmth/cold receptors in the skin and the other from the temperature of the blood bathing the region. Here this is the case of 7 years old child with acute febrile illness and she was treated with homoeopathic medicine. The symptoms forming acute totality was analysed and converted into rubrics and thus repertorization was done. Thus, the remedy which covers the patient conditions was prescribed. In present era there are many controversies homoeopathy does not have faster action in treating patient. From this study reveals that homeopathy has faster action in treating patients based on similimum.
