Satheesh G, Rayana PP and Amrutha VM
Neuropathic ulcers are one of the most common and quite disabling complications faced by leprosy patients. They often show slow healing tendencies, thereby impairing the quality of life of these patients. Prolonged treatment expenses can become overwhelming as well. Homoeopathic medicines have a remarkable role in avoiding these hardships as they are found to be an effective as well as affordable alternative treatment modality in ulcer cases. Here, a case of a 55 years old female patient who reported with a neuropathic ulcer refractory to other treatment methods successfully treated with homoeopathic medicines internally and aqueous solution of Geranium maculatum Mother Tincture externally is presented. This case report testifies the efficacy of the rarely used Geranium maculatum Mother Tincture in neuropathic ulcers and suggests further studies in the same direction.
