Primary infertility treated with homeopathy: A case report
Shivani Singh and MP Singh
Introduction: The leading cause of primary infertility in females still is polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It is marked by a combination of hyperandrogenism (either clinical or biochemical), chronic oligo/anovulation, and the presence of multiple cysts on the ovaries. It is often linked with insulin resistance and obesity. Homeopathy offers a gentle and cost-effective treatment in a world where people spend excessively on assisted reproductive technology (ART).
Case summary: 25-yr-old female presented with complaint of inability to conceive along with delayed menses and weight gain for 2 years. She was diagnosed with PCOS on abdominal ultrasonography. She was prescribed the medicine Lycopodium clavatum based on the symptom totality. Within three months of starting homeopathic treatment, she conceived. This finding was confirmed by positive UPT (Urine Pregnancy Test) as well as abdominal ultrasonography. A MONARCH score of +10/13 indicates a strong connection between the prescribed medicine and the treatment results. This case report highlights the benefits and impact of personalized homeopathic medicine in addressing female infertility caused by PCOS.
