Restoring equilibrium: Homoeopathy’s influence on irritable bowel syndrome

Abstract:

Homoeopathy have wide scope in the management of psycho-somatic disorder like irritable bowel syndrome. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a functional gastrointestinal (GI) illness accompanied by abdominal discomfort, diarrhoea, constipation, mucus discharge with stools, and changes in frequency and appearance of stool. IBS is more common in Western countries (4–5%) than in Asian countries (1–10%). Its incidence in India is believed could be 4-7% and is increasing1.
