Subhajit Dey
Warts are benign cutaneous growths that arise as a result of infection by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). These may present as solitary or multiple growths, with appearances ranging from smooth to cauliflower-like, depending on the specific type. It may appear anywhere in the skin, but is most commonly found in the hands, face, ano-genital areas, soles etc. Generally, it is treated applying medicine externally or by surgical excision, but homoeopathic treatment has shown considerable effectiveness in treating warts. A case of a 72-year-old male suffering from warty skin growth on his face for three months has been presented here. Following a thorough case assessment and evaluation, Thuja occ. 200 was prescribed. Significant improvement was observed upon completion of the treatment. The final outcome and possible casual attribution of the changes were assessed by the “Modified Naranjo Criteria”. This case report demonstrates rapid improvement of warts and other presenting complaints of the patient with individualized homoeopathic treatment
