The role of Calcarea phosphorica in cellular growth and mineral metabolism: A review
Renu Tripathi and Anoop Choudhary
Background: Calcarea phosphorica (Cal. Phos.), a major biochemic salt and homeopathic remedy, is traditionally linked with tissue development, bone health, and mineral balance in the body. It is critical in cellular growth and mineral metabolism, yet systematic scientific exploration remains limited.
Objective: This review aims to evaluate and synthesize the therapeutic role of Calcarea phosphorica in promoting cellular growth and regulating mineral metabolism, based on classical homeopathic principles, biochemical understanding, and available experimental evidence.
Method: A qualitative literature review was performed using homeopathic materia medica, biochemical references, and scientific publications. Sources included classical homeopathic texts, modern journal articles, and experimental research related to calcium phosphate's biological activity.
Conclusion: Calcarea phosphorica shows significant potential in supporting bone formation, cellular repair, and mineral homeostasis. Its integration into therapeutic practice especially in conditions involving developmental delays, fractures, and nutritional deficiencies is backed by traditional use and emerging scientific insights. However, further experimental and clinical validation is needed.
