Effectiveness of Calcarea sulphuricum in the treatment of urticaria: Evidence based case report

Introduction: Urticaria, commonly known as hives, is a dermatological condition characterized by transient, itchy wheals and angioedema. Often triggered by allergens, infections, or emotional stress and is self-limiting. Urticaria can significantly impair quality of life and prove resistant to conventional treatment. Homeopathy, with its individualized and holistic approach, offers an alternative therapeutic strategy. This case report presents the successful management of a patient with Urticaria using constitutional homoeopathic medicine 49 years old male presented with recurrent pruritic rashes opathic treatment, emphasizing symptom totality and personalized care.
Case summary: Here is diagnosed case of an Urticaria of an 49 years old presented with stinging, pricking lesions all over the body for the past two years. Based on a thorough case analysis and symptom totality, the homeopathic remedy Calcarea sulphuricum 200C was prescribed. Significant improvement was observed within three days, with reduced frequency and severity of eruptions. Over a two-month follow-up period, the patient reported sustained relief without recurrence for 6 months. This case highlights the role of individualized homeopathy in the long-term management of chronic urticaria, especially in cases where dietary triggers are prominent. Holistic case-taking and remedy selection based on characteristic modalities proved effective in bringing about lasting relief.
