Kautuk Bhatikar and Safira Da Costa
Cholelithiasis or gallstones are crystallized deposits forming in the gallbladder or biliary tree, primarily composed of cholesterol, bilirubin, and bile. These stones often remain asymptomatic, detected incidentally during imaging, but can lead to significant complications such as biliary colic, acute cholecystitis, cholangitis, or pancreatitis. Homoeopathic management is well known in the treatment of gallstones. This case report deals with one such case, where cholelithiasis is effectively managed in a 32-year-old female, B.B., who presented with complaints of pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, radiating towards the back. Patient was a known case of cholelithiais. Lycopodium, a homoeopathic remedy with its sphere of action on the gallbladder was prescribed based on detailed individualized analysis, along with Chelidonium mother tincture and Fel tauri 3X resulting in complete resoultion of the gall bladder stones.
