This case highlights important clinical and diagnostic aspects of HLP and distinguishes it from other similar conditions such as lichen simplex chronicus, hypertrophic lichen sclerosus, and squamous cell carcinoma. For accurate diagnosis, selecting the right biopsy method and site is crucial to reveal the specific histopathological characteristics of the condition.
