Abstract:

Background: Leucorrhoea, a common gynaecological complaint, is characterized by abnormal vaginal discharge and is frequently seen across all ages in women. In homeopathy, it is understood not merely as a local symptom, but a manifestation of deeper systemic imbalance influenced by underlying miasmatic forces—Psora, Sycosis, and Syphilis. These chronic miasms influence not only the type of discharge but also the mental and physical constitution of the patient.

Objective: To explore the miasmatic perspective of leucorrhoea and to correlate its expressions with relevant rubrics from Kent’s Repertory, supporting individualized remedy selection in chronic cases.

Method: A qualitative review of classical homeopathic literature, including Kent’s Repertory, Boericke’s Materia Medica, and Allen’s Keynotes, was undertaken. Rubrics related to leucorrhoea were extracted from Kent’s Repertory and analysed through a miasmatic lens. Frequently indicated remedies were examined for their discharge characteristics, constitutional features, and corresponding miasmatic influences.

Conclusion: Miasmatic analysis adds depth and precision to the management of leucorrhoea in homeopathy. By understanding the miasmatic roots and repertorial expressions of symptoms, homeopaths can choose remedies more accurately. Kent’s Repertory offers robust rubric support when integrated with the miasmatic approach.
