Abstract:

Tinea corporis, or ringworm of the body, is a common superficial fungal infection caused by dermatophytes. Clinically, it typically presents as circular or annular lesions with central clearing, active raised borders, scaling, and mild to moderate itching. Despite conventional antifungal therapies, the infection frequently recurs, indicating an underlying susceptibility. In Homoeopathy, such skin disorders are considered external manifestations of deranged vital force due to underlying miasmatic influences. According to Hahnemannian philosophy, the suppression of skin symptoms can drive the disease deeper into vital organs, making cure more difficult. This article provides an in-depth overview of the etiological factors, clinical features, diagnostic methods, preventive strategies associated with tinea corporis and Homoeopathic Therapeutics. The role of individualized homoeopathic treatment is emphasized, focusing on remedies selected not merely on diagnosis but on totality of symptoms, constitution, and miasmatic background. Homoeopathy offers a curative approach by stimulating the vital force, clearing suppressed miasms, and restoring long-term health.
