Urticaria is a common skin disorder characterized by transient, itchy wheals and occasional angioedema. It affects nearly 15-20% of individuals at some point, with chronic urticaria lasting beyond six weeks. Etiological factors include allergens, infections, autoimmune responses, stress, and idiopathic origins. The underlying pathophysiology involves mast cell degranulation and histamine release, resulting in increased vascular permeability and dermal edema. It is broadly classified into acute and chronic types, with further subtypes such as physical and autoimmune urticaria. Clinically, patients present with sudden-onset itching, erythema, and swelling. Diagnostic evaluation includes complete blood count, ESR, thyroid profile, IgE levels, and autoimmune markers. Further, a case of Urticaria presented with complaints of itching and swelling all over the body since 3 years, also complaints of burning sensation all over the body. After detailed case taking, patient was prescribed with Calcarea carbonica in LM potency and symptoms showed a marked improvement.
