Abstract:

Alopecia areata is a chronic, relapsing autoimmune condition characterized by patchy, non-scarring hair loss that commonly affects the scalp and beard region. The disease often carries a psychological burden, leading to low self-esteem, social withdrawal, and emotional distress. Conventional treatment options such as corticosteroids and immunosuppressants offer temporary relief but are often associated with relapses and side effects. This case study highlights the management of a young male with alopecia areata and associated recurrent urticaria. The patient presented with patchy hair loss, episodes of itching eruptions, and a history of previous recurrence. A thorough analysis of mental and physical generals, along with family tendencies, guided the individualized prescription. This report aims to demonstrate how individualized homeopathic management, guided by miasmatic understanding, can provide long-term relief in autoimmune conditions such as alopecia areata at Dr Batra’s
