Role of homoeopathy in antenatal and postnatal management

Author(s):

Md Salimur Rahman

Abstract:

Homoeopathy, as a holistic system of medicine, offers safe and effective management during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Antenatal care involves prevention and treatment of common ailments such as nausea, constipation, anemia, varicose veins, and emotional stress. During labor, remedies like Caulophyllum and Cimicifuga assist in regulating contractions and reducing complications. Postnatally, homoeopathy helps in trauma healing, lactation support, management of puerperal infections, hemorrhage, and psychological well-being. Being non-toxic and safe for both mother and child, homoeopathy is increasingly valued as a complementary approach to maternal healthcare.
