Blessey Valsalan and Nash Rajendran
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is defined by persistent, overwhelming apprehension accompanied by a range of physiological and psychological manifestations. In homoeopathy, anxiety is regarded not solely as a sickness but as a manifestation of profound underlying disarray. This research examines the utilization of Latrodectus mactans, a rather obscure but potent homeopathic treatment, in relation to Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Latrodectus mactans, traditionally acknowledged for its cardiovascular effects, also has a significant mental-emotional profile characterized by acute fear of mortality, chest tightness, panic episodes, and agitation. This study analyzes essential mental frameworks, including intense terror, heightened sensitivity, impressionability, and physical expressions of anxiety focused on the heart, utilizing the Complete Repertory. Differential analysis with other prevalent treatments underscores the distinctive role of Latrodectus mactans in instances where anxiety manifests with acute physiological distress and heightened emotional intensity. The results advocate for its inclusion in personalized homoeopathic therapy for Generalized Anxiety Disorder, emphasizing the necessity of incorporating both mental and physical symptoms in remedy selection.
