Case study of homoeopathic management in chronic asthma
Snehalata Singh
A 30-year-old housewife suffering from chronic bronchial asthma since 2011 presented with recurrent episodes of dyspnea, chest tightness, and chronic allergic symptoms aggravated by weather changes. She had been under prolonged allopathic management including corticosteroids and nebulizer therapy, with minimal and temporary relief. A detailed case evaluation was conducted, and individualized homoeopathic treatment was initiated with Blatta orientalis and Tuberculinum 200. Over several months of follow-up, the patient experienced gradual but sustained improvement in respiratory function. She was able to discontinue all allopathic medications and nebulizer use. Follow-up spirometry revealed a marked change from “severe restrictive abnormality” (Aug 2024) to “normal spirometry” (Aug 2025), confirming objective improvement. This case demonstrates the efficacy of constitutional and anti-miasmatic homeopathic treatment in long-standing asthma with allergic diathesis.
