Hypertension and homoeopathy: A comprehensive review
Meenakshi Gupta, Anil Aggarwal and Neha Sharma
Hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular disorders worldwide, often called the “silent killer” due to its asymptomatic nature in most patients. Its prevalence is rising globally and in India, driven by factors such as genetics, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, high salt intake, stress, and aging. Conventional management includes lifestyle modification and pharmacotherapy; however, resistant hypertension remains a challenge. Homoeopathy offers a holistic approach, treating patients individually, addressing mental, emotional, and physical aspects. This review explores essential and resistant hypertension, current epidemiology, etiological factors, complications, investigations, and the role of Homoeopathy in management.
