Abstract:

Digital technology plays an important role in the lives of older adults by supporting communication, information access, and healthcare needs. However, excessive screen time can adversely affect physical health, mental well-being, and cognitive function in the elderly, increasing the risk of eye strain, sleep disturbance, musculoskeletal discomfort, emotional stress, sedentary behaviour, and social isolation.
This article reviews the growing use of screens among older adults, its health impacts, and the importance of healthy digital habits. It also highlights the supportive role of homoeopathic management in addressing screen-related complaints through individualized care, emphasizing the need for a balanced and holistic approach to healthy ageing in the digital era.
